Little Goat Productions is an independent production company committed to telling stories that illuminate and inspire.

For our clients, we combine the talents of seasoned broadcast professionals to provide high quality results in all levels of project production — from full series oversight and delivery to individual segment writing and field producing. Past corporate and non-profit clients have included Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Cablevision, Cisco, and Miss Porter’s School.

Lyda Ely, founder and principal, is an award-winning filmmaker, artist and educator who has worked in New York City as a writer/director in the television industry for more than 20 years. She wrote and directed the two-hour documentary “THE AMERICAN WEDDING” for A&E Television. She wrote and directed segments for the launch of CNN’s series CNN HEROES and also wrote and directed more than 20 hours of programming for “THE TWENTIETH CENTURY WITH MIKE WALLACE” for THE HISTORY CHANNEL. Other credits include: “DIANA: PRINCESS OF WALES” (CNN); “I REMEMBER: 1968 POLITICS” (CBS PRODUCTIONS) and “CNN 20th ANNIVERSARY – TIANANMEN SQUARE” (CNN). She has produced and directed several BIOGRAPHY hours for A&E, including “SAL MINEO” and “LECH WALESA.”

Little Goat Productions first independent documentary FUNNY BUSINESS is a light-hearted, insider examination of the cartoonists for The New Yorker magazine. The award-winning program has had public screenings throughout New York City, and in 2011 it aired on WNET and WLIW, as well as other PBS outlets across the countries.

Little Goat Productions is also the home site for Lyda Ely’s original artwork — a collection of oil on canvas landscapes and still lifes. Please see the gallery for more information.
